Il entre dans la composition de <a href="Glycosaminoglycane" title="Glycosaminoglycane">glycosaminoglycanes</a> tels l'<a href="H%C3%A9parine" title="Héparine">héparine</a>, l'<a href="Acide_hyaluronique" title="Acide hyaluronique">acide hyaluronique</a>...
</p><p>L'acide glucuronique est présent dans l'<a href="Acide_glycyrrhizique" title="Acide glycyrrhizique">acide glycyrrhizique</a> sous forme de <a href="Dim%C3%A8re" title="Dimère">dimère</a> attaché à un <a href="Terp%C3%A8ne" title="Terpène">terpène</a>.
